On March 9th, I had the privilege of capturing this beautiful couple in a place that feels like home to me: the rugged cliffs of Sannat on Gozo, Malta. A golden hour above the sea, a love that was palpable in every gesture, and a landscape that is breathtakingly beautiful – this is why I return to this island time and time again.
My family has a second home on Gozo, so I know the island inside and out. The hidden spots, the best times for that magical light, the quiet bays – these are the details that make the difference in a photoshoot or wedding. Gozo is small, but big in atmosphere. And perfect for Dutch couples who dream of getting married or shooting abroad, but with someone who speaks their language and understands their wishes.
The Sannat cliffs are one of my favorite places on the island. They are tough, intense, but also so romantic with the view of the azure blue sea. This shoot was the perfect example of how love and landscape can strengthen each other.
More and more Dutch couples choose to celebrate their love on Gozo – and rightly so. Whether it is an intimate elopement, an elaborate wedding or a romantic love shoot: the island offers the perfect setting and the ultimate holiday feeling.
